I decided since I’m back to blogging to give y’all a bit of a product review if I may. This review is for Bobbi Boss Indi Remi Natural Yaki Hair. I bought this hair back in November for a full sew in that I was getting to give my hair a break while I decided what I wanted to do with it. First a little background on the hair. According to their website and information that comes with the hair it is designed to last wash after wash as well as prevent tangling. Well let me say that if I was doing this review three years ago, that would be true. When I first used this brand of hair in 2010, it was the best hair I had ever used. It didn’t tangle. It didn’t shed. When I got it washed, it looked like a fresh sew in. I was able to keep it in my hair for two months. Well the hair I used in November was not that hair that I fell in love with. Day one there was no problems but as days turned to weeks, this hair shedded and tangled like nobody’s business. When I washed it, it behaved but as soon as it was dry back to the shedding and tangling. I don’t understand. I took care of this hair like it was my own. I stayed away from heat like the plague. I wrapped my hair with a satin scarf and put a satin bonnet on top just to be safe. I limited products that I used in my hair because I didn’t want it weighed down or dried out but still I ended up with a hot mess on my head. It really sucks because the installation was a dream to get. No pulling, no tugging, everything was so right. All I can say it that this, if and when I get another sew in, I will not be buying BSS hair. I can’t trust it anymore. Instead I will be going through a recommended vendor that a friend of mine uses. Her sew-ins are always on point because her hair is fabulous. She told me that the hair is a bit expensive but hey I’d rather spend $300 for quality hair that I can re-use instead of spending the same on hair that turned out to be busted. Has anyone else used Indi Remi and had the same or different results? Let me know in the comments.
